The ex-Aston Villa centre back passed a medial at the KC Stadium while also agreeing a three year contract with the newly promoted Premier League club.
The 28 year old started his career at Luton Town, then moved to West Bromwich Albion. He was loaned to Villa then he signed on a permanent basis, for £9.5m. He moved to Birmingham City in 2011.
