Brighton sack Poyet while on air at BBC

     Championship side Brighton sacked manager Gus Poyet while he was covering on a match as a pundit on the BBC.

     Poyet, 45, was given a statement from Brighton by the BBC when covering on the Confederations Cup.

     In May, the Uruguayan was suspended and the club said they would appoint an interim while the decision was pending. The former Chelsea player led the Seagulls to 4th place last season but lost in the Play-Off semi-final against Crystal Palace.
