The 32 year-old has signed a two year contract with the Russians after being one of the 14 players released by the Gunners.
Arshavin started his career at Zenit and made his debut in a 3-0 win over Bradford City in 2000. Zenit submitted a statement about Arshavin saying that one of the best Russian footballers is returning to his home country.
