The 21 year-old was the heart of the defence in Spain's winning U-21 European Championship last month. Putting pen to paper on a 3 year-deal, Muniesa becomes Mark Hughes' second signing as manager of the Potters.
When at Barcelona B, Muniesa played in either left back or centre back and Hughes likes players who can play in more than one position.
