Leonardo resigns as PSG director

Leonardo, the director of French money-bags Paris Saint Germain, has left his position and will leave the club in August.

The Brazilian was given a 9 month ban after pushing a referee when center back Thiago Silva was sent off in PSG's 1-1 draw at home to Valenciennes but that was extended to 13 months.

The 43 year-old's actions affected the whole club after the French Ligue 1 deducted the Champions 3 points in the 2013-14 season.
