After a dull first half, Senegal and Chelsea striker Demba Ba produced an athletic finish to put Chelsea ahead. A chance right after the goal from United's Hernandez was saved by Petr Cech heroically.
Whoever won the match would face Manchester City, so in this case City will face Chelsea in the semi-final on the 14th April.
