San Marino 0-8 England

207th world ranked nation San Marino suffered an embarrassing thrashing against 4th rank side England which was like a practice match for the three lions ahead of the Montenegro clash.

San Marino defender Alessandro Della Vaelle scored and early own goal to put England on a scoring spree. Speed kings Oxlaide-Chamberlain, Defoe and Young added  before Chelsea veteran Frank Lampard rolled back the years with a finish before the interval. A classic Rooney free-kick which bent in the right bottom corner was the 6th before Daniel Sturridge headed in after the substitute had missed a sitter earlier in the match. Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe grabbed his second and the 8th for England in the 8,000 capacity stadium.

The Tuesday game against Montenegro is crucial to England's hope to qualify for 2014 Rio, Brazil.
