Sev 2-2 Mala: Gamiero saves Sevilla twice

Malaga earned a precious point in a tough away game against Sevilla, where new signing Kevin Gamiero scored a double.

The away side scored first, young striker Pedro Morales twisted and turned through Sevilla's defence before blasting a shot into the bottom corner.

Summer signing from Paris Saint Germain, Gamiero equalized for the hosts as he latched onto Stephane Mbia's cross and guided a header into the bottom corner. The whole of Malaga were furious because when Gamiero scored, he was in a offside position.

Good passing play from Malaga ended in them taking the lead, Santa Cruz slotting past the goalkeeper coolly after receiving a through ball from Darder.

An early cross into the box from Rakitic was not dealt with by the Malaga defence and Gamiero was lurking in the area to head the ball over the line.

A horrendous challenge from Duda resulted in a red card in the dying minutes.
Jesus Gamez can't keep out Gamiero's header.

Stuttgart 6-2 Hoffen: Ibsevic hits three

Vedad Ibisevic scored three times as he tore 1899 Hoffenheim to pieces and gave Thomas Schnieder his first win as VfB Stuttgart manager.

Rudiger opened the scoring for Stuttgart, the defender tapped in a quick-free kick where Hoffenheim were caught sleeping. After Antonio Modeste headed wide, Ibisevic showed him how to score, the striker smashed a header in the roof of the net from a Maxim corner.

A deflected goal from Kevin Volland pulled one back for Hoffenheim but then a misjudged bounce from Casteels allowed Maxim to touch past the keeper and score.

Ibisevic grabbed his second as he rounded the keeper, then Maxim had his second a few minutes after, the youngster's curling effort found the top corner of the net.

Heading in Werner's cross, Ibisevic completed his hat-trick before Firmino scrambled in a consolation.

Arsenal 1-0 Spurs: Giroud separates sides

In a feisty north-London derby, Arsenal were the winners thanks to Olivier Giroud's first half strike while Tottenham lost for the first time this season.

Arsenal tested Spurs early on, Santi Cazorla's 3rd minute free kick was palmed out for a corner by goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. Arsene Wenger's side continuously created chances and finally they scored. Tomas Rosicky started it as he played it out right to Theo Walcott who found Giroud in the middle and his deft touch ended up in the bottom corner.

Shortly after the goal, Townsend created Tottenham's first real chance, the winger's 25 yard drive was pushed away by Wojciech Sczesney.

Walcott and Giroud's partnership in the game was quality, the two having lots of great chances.

But, Andre Villas-Boas' team did not accept defeat, Pauliniho's deflected shot was heading straight for the bottom corner if it was not for Szcesney, who somehow managed to deny the Brazilian.

It was end to end stuff from then on, Walcott's curling effort was saved by Lloris and Nacho Monreal just couldn't get the ball out of his feet for the rebound.
Giroud touches the ball past the stranded Lloris to score.

Real M 3-1 Bilbao: Isco double inspires win

Summer signing Isco was twice on target as Real Madrid beat Athletic Bilbao 3-1 in the 11:00 kick-off game at the Bernebau.

Arsenal target Karim Benzema chipped a weighted ball into the box for Isco to control and slot past Bilbao's goalkeeper Iago Herreirin.

Whipping a ball into the box, Angel Di Maria found Cristiano Ronaldo, and the unmarked Portuguese forward headed it in the net to double Carlo Ancelloti's lead.

Madrid pressed and pressed and it soon payed off as Benzema's ball to Isco on the edge of the box was scored by the £23m signing thanks to a big deflection off a Athletic player.

Bursting down the flank, Andoni Iraola crossed for Ibai Gomez to smash into the top corner to give Bilbao a consolation goal at the 79th minute.

Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde has denied that the reason of leaving star midfielder Andre Herrera out of the starting xl is anything to do with Manchester United's rejected £25m bid.

Palace snap up Kebe and Hunt

Crystal Palace have completed the signings of Reading winger Jimmy Kebe and Huddersfield Town full-back Jack Hunt.

Mali international Kebe, 29, joins Ian Holloway's side on a three year contract and for a undisclosed fee. Hunt, 22, announced his move to Selhurst Park via Twitter, the right back said: Absolutely delighted to have signed for Crystal Palace. New challenge in my life and can't wait to get started!

Kebe has not featured for the Championship club since March and manager Nigel Adkins criticized the winger for declaring himself unfit on the eve of the side's 6-0 defeat against Peterborough in the Capital One Cup.

Hunt has appeared in 104 games for the Terriers in his career at the club, two of them coming this season.
