Everton 3-3 Liverpool- Sturridge saves Reds

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge scored an 88th minute equalizer to deny Everton's Roberto Martinez a win in his first Mersyside derby in a exhilarating game. The match was off to a great start from a Liverpool perspective as midfield maestro Philippe Coutinho passed the ball past James McCarthy into the net after a Sturridge flick on. On-form striker Romelu Lukaku restored clarity for Everton as the Belgian tucked in good play from Everton. Eighty-two minutes gone, Lukaku rose well after Barcelona loanee Gerard Deulofeu did well out wide and did even better with a cross. However, the Toffees could not hold on as the ball glanced delightfully off Sturridge from a Steven Gerrard free-kick.
